Below you will find a high-level process map showing the various steps involved in updating your record if you have a period of absence.

  • 1 Short periods of absence

    Most absences from work are relatively short and your membership of the DB Section in these circumstances will remain unchanged.

  • 2 Longer periods of absence - HR advises the Administration Team of your temporary absence

    Nothing for you to do at this stage as HR will let the Administration Team know about your absence.

  • 3 Longer periods of absence - the Administration Team updates your record accordingly

    If you are away for a longer period and you stop receiving contractual pay or statutory sick pay your membership may be continued with the Company and Trustee consent.
